Our first Makerfaire was such a success, we've been asked to schedule a bigger, better version at the end of May! Our team decided to plan an outdoor carnival, suggested stations, broke into teams and started developing paper prototypes of their models.
This week, we explored modular design, so we can apply these concepts to our final cardboard projects. Modular design allows a design to assemble and dissassembe with ease, but utilizing folds and tabs. Modular design is also used in 3D printing, when 2D shapes are combined and scaled to create 3D forms.

Projects had to be stable enough to withstand a Dragon Pault. We will test out each castle's structural stability during STEAM Night, May 25, 2016! |
