Station Day
Every Thursday is Station Day! Students complete proposals based on skills they've learned throughout the year. After drafting their project, they spend the period developing their prototypes!

Rock Star Month |
Students formed bands to learn about song composition and video production.
Using beats, notes and rests, they took notes to compose songs. Rockband teams utilized Garage Band, Drum Pad 24, and Sylo Synth to write and record their hit single.
After researching costume design, our bands created stop motion avatars to perform their music video.

Maker Faire was an entirely student driven endeavor. Our student learning community researched Maker Faires from San Diego and New York to develop exhibits based on their acquired skills.
Students worked in teams to produce print advertising, social media content and exhibits. It was our first exploration into formal critique, scoring their work 3, 2, and 1. "Is my design clean, clear and complete?" Projects had to score a 3 before final presentations. After Maker Faire, students met to debrief and suggest ideas for the Spring edition! |
